Hi

What is Lumped capacitance?

There are 2 parasitics namely resistance, capacitance and inductance. At what situation does this parasitics happen? ie.. when does resistance parasitic , capacitive parasitic occur?

Lumped Capacitance

resitance -> Non zero resistance of interconnect material like Cu,Al.
Capacitance ->Coupling capacitance of interconnect wires, input cap of next cell.

Lumped capacitance is just a term used for modelling interconnect cap. It assumes all the interconnect capacitance a single cap connected to the output. In reality the capacitance will distributed all over the interconnect and vary as per fanout
