need for double bonding power pads

what is double bonding in power pads in asic.why this concept is needed.

I remember use two bond pads connect outside power. Use two bond pads it can reduce resistance.
It can reduce IR drop at power net.

double bonding is to increase current carrying ability of power pad

by using two power pad.
