CTS best practices

Hi:

I wish to know what is are the best practices for doing CTS in Magma.

1. Use of buffers and Inverters Vs only buffers.
2. Limit the buffers types to 2-4 or give the tool the entire CLKBUF set in the library
3. Given a million gate design with 200Mhz frequency, 0.13um tech, What is the optimum levels of buffers and skew/Insertion delay targets for a good clock design.

Your inputs will be much appreciated..

Regards!

Re: CTS best practices

well u can use buffers insted of using an inverter followed by a buffer..as u know a buffer is a set of two inverters.. and u can use that to amplify the signals.. well i wud always tell u the best design is the design n which minimum number of components are used with less complexity and best desired results are obtainted.. wot does ur design optimize to..? low power or efficiency?

with regards,
