Hi,
I want to generate different voltage levels ranging from 0.5 V to 4.8 V from PIC18f4550 (like an increasing ramp) , is there any way to that??

Yes, using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).

As said you use the PWM output but with a R/C to produce an analogue voltage from the digital 5v PWM.
