Dear all
Salaam
Is there anyone who could tell me why integrated VMEbus interface solutions which CYPRESS long time ago has developed a complete set for it (i.e.VIC068A and CY7C964 , ...) has been obsolete and there isn't any famous company that payed any attention to this nowadays popular bus controller? In addition the CYPRESS itself has not any documents about it in its own website.
After googling a lot, i could find someone, who offer its IP core only and at most somewhere has its slave master controller.
I am looking for Master VMEbus interface controller.

Thanks in advance.
Oveis

Dear Oveis,

I don't know why Cypress discontinued that product. Old boards use them. Recent boards use Marvell's chips. You can configure those chips as Master/Slave through software, I believe so.

regards,
Srinivasan
