verilog code 3 errors

i have few questions about the code given below

1) on simulating this code s21 gives 32'b 10101010101010101010101010101010 when ins==0 and gives 32'b 01010101010101010101010101010101 when ins==1

however it should be vice versa as given in code ...why is it so??

2) s21 then goes to inp which is a serial to parallel shiftreg but only a few bits are shifted properly into it at every clock edge and after that the waveform flattens out whereas it should show shifting of all bits properly...how could it be corrected?

3) when i implemented this code it gave following errors:

Hi,

1. In my simulation (Modelsim) s21 = !s1 (0101..) when ins1 = 0 and s21 = s1 (1010...) when ins1 = 1
(Reg ins is not connected to something)

2. After a reset (clr = 1), inp shifts one bit at a time. It shifts s21[0] into inp[1].

3. You have 2084 I/O signals declared in your module inter1. This is exactly as what your implementation tool reports.
(32+1024+1+1024+1+1+1)

1) i used xilinx ise 9.1i simulator and it shows 01010101.... for ins1==1 and 1010101....for ins1==0 is there any difference between the two?? or could you use xilinx simulator to check whats the output?

2) in xilinx simulator at 1600 ns the waves are flattened one by one to 1's(in all waves)....is this the case with ur simulation as well??

3) i try to reduce number of I/Os but if more than 1 such same modules are to be downloaded onto 1 same chip then??

Hi,

1. See attached snippet waveform of Modelsim.

2. Yes, when ins1=0 for a while. This is correct as you shift in the same bit value ('1') every clock signal (see previous post).
