When daisy chaining a 1MB CAN bus communications link from PCB to PCB, are there any complications that may occur from terminating this using a computer controller MOSFET device in series to a resistor rather than a switch?

Ron of the Mosfet?

havent picked it out yet, but very low. lowest you can get in a SOT-3 package

Then I see no problem on terminating with a 50 Ohm or so. I have no experience on this, but it seems ok.

Ok. I couldn't think of any reasons why this may not work....minus some complicated noise/reflection of high speed signal type issues...which is why I ask. Ill give it a try thanks.

Reflexions will appear if it is not terminated (matched) with something.

Ok, resistor may put some noise, but is your circuit sensitive on thermal noise?

No i dont believe thermal noise will be an issue.
