Using a differential suppression choke as an inductor

So I have few of these differential chokes, the kin dof thin gyou see on a smps mains input to prevent switching noise going back up the power line.
Could I use one of the windings, or both windings in series start to finish as a choke, or would as I suspect the saturation current be really low, as these things usually work where the fields cancel.
 

Yes I thought so.
I built a test jig for inductors I'll test it & let you know when I get round to it.
