Hi
I'm new to the world of FPGAs. Just started a few weeks back.
I'm using a Xilinx ML506 board.
I was directly programming the FPGA and everything was working fine. But then I tried to program the Platform Flash so that I could program the FPGA without a PC.
Now it doesn't program at all.
It says:
ERROR:iMPACT:585 - A problem may exist in the hardware configuration.
Check that the cable, scan chain, and power connections are intact,
that the specified scan chain configuration matches the actual hardware, and
that the power supply is adequate and delivering the correct voltage.
I tried programming from a saved impact configuration file, then it says:
ERROR: iMPACT:583 - '1': The idcode read from the device does not match the idcode in the BSDL file.
I'm using ISE9.2 and the Xilinx platform USB cable.
I saw on another forum that erasing the Platform Flash would help.
Is it true?
I tried that also but couldn't do that either. Could someone tell me the procedure for that?
Please help. I have to complete this by Thursday (Indian Std Time - Thats tomorrow...).
Thanks
