can anybody help me by giving a UPS desing with a cycloconverter.
today normally BUCK converter is used. how can be cyclo converter is used for UPS design?

please give me some desing using cyclo converter.

Well first off a cycloconverter is used to convert one frequency into another via a "matrix" of switches.

historically they have been used to convert 400 into 50/~60 hz, and 60 into 1.666 hz.

They can't be used as an inverter.

Cycloconverters are in a similar family with current source inverters.

somebody helps me how to design cycloconverter circuit in PSIM software and set the parameter of the compenents so that i can get the better output waveforms..please helps me..
