tm 010 mode

hi:
I want to know what factors might affect QL.The resonator is cylinder. It having a pair of electrodes formed respectively on its two opposite surfaces is disposed in a metallic shielded-cavity casing so that one of the electrode is in contact with an inner bottom surface of the shielded-cavity casing .

The biggest factor for QL is, of course, how tightly you are coupling to the resonator!

After that, things that affect the unloaded Q, like choosing the best mode of resonance, microcracks in the dielectric/water absorption, the mounting post, epoxies used to hold it, the metal surrounding structure.
