Where can I find details about the internal structure of a netlist file.

However as different Spice programs have been developed, some commands have changed and this explains why a certain Spice based circuit simulator cannot "understand" a netlist written by a different circuit simulator. Or if you have learnt how to write a netlist for your favorite circuit simulator, it is not at all sure will be correct for another simulator without "trimming" some commands to its own taste. I myself not really familiar with Spice netlists, I used in the past the Compact Software Inc's Microwave Harmonica and was writing netlist for it (there were some similarities to that of the Spice), then later on used their improved Schematic Editor and gradually forgot writing netlists.
