The main idea of telescopic opamp is to increase the gain by power of 2 (approx) instead of normal differential opamp. Considering the reduction in swing limits than to that of normal diff amp, I am wondering what would be the application of telescopic opamp. Anyone please enlighten me

Actually, it increases the gain by something like gm*ro if both nmos and pmos are cascoded. If used as a first stage of an OTA, you don't need a lot of swing at the output of the telescopic stage. If used stand alone with enough supply headroom, you can still get enough swing. Every thing depends on application. Apart from that, it has less noise compared to say folded cascode stage. And as usual, it has its own limitations.

Thanks for the reply. I understood that swing limit as well as voltage gain are important parameter depending on the application
