Some time ago I heard that it is possible to somehow register to a remote paid server (please excuse the cluelessness) and run Design Compiler and other EDA tools in a virtual machine. Or something to that effect.
I don't remember the details but I do remember that it was very affordable, although not free.

Are you aware of anything like this?

Otherwise, if you want to learn to use dc on your own time (i.e. not on a Uni class or on the job) what are your options? Is there any way to get access to dc, maybe a limited student edition?

Thanks!

Home-office is the new norm. In this situation, if your employer provides you DC then you can use it in your free time via remote logging. Else there are no options that I know of.

Thank you for your responses.

I must be misremembering then; maybe that remote EDA server was for FPGA tools, I do remember I discussed it with an FPGA guy...

Thanks!
