Hi,

Iam new in Analog design. I have a project that i have to start doing some simulation for. But i just need to learn some bascis befoire i start. I just dont know where to start?!!

Any suggestions about certain topics or books that i must read before starting?!

Thank you

Re: Analog Design

You can start by reading the following book(s):

1/ Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi (Difficulty: Easy)
2/ Designing Analog Chips - Hans Camenzind (Difficulty - Easy)
3/ Analysis and Design of Analog IC - Gray & Meyer (Difficulty: Hard)

Re: Analog Design

read these books

cmos: circuit design and layout: baker

cmos analog circuit design: allen

Analog Design

These two books are good for beginners:
Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi
cmos analog circuit design: allen

This one is for layout:
IC layout Basics: a Practical Guide (Saint)

Re: Analog Design

Hi,
In my view, if you want to enter in analog design then you should go through some basic books like
1- circuit analysis ( refer to shaum series)
2- microelectronics circuit ( by sedra smith)
3- analog design and layout ( By jacob baker)
then you can go littile higher like
4-Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi
5-cmos analog circuit design: allen & holberg
6- analog design book written by Gray and Mayer
Best of luck.

Analog Design

After finished those books, I got bunch of information on circuit analysis. The question is where should I star when receiving a spec. from reference design? changing part of that design to meet the new performance? I never had any experience in analog design, just come out from digital design area.

Analog Design

1.Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi
2.cmos analog circuit design: allen & holberg
3.Design of Analog Integrated Circuits and Systems Laker
4.Analysis and Design of Analog IC - Gray & Meyer

Re: Analog Design

Razavi's and also allen holberg

Re: Analog Design

You didn't specify if you just want to make the simulation (short time) or you are looking for learning analog design (long time).
All books mentioned above are usefull, but need time and guidance to study!

Analog Design

Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi
may help you , it is a good book for begineer

Re: Analog Design

I suggest you begin with the book of Allen. and after you should do some exercises to strengthen your understanding.

Re: Analog Design

Since u r a beginer the following books r better for getting quick idea of analog ckts..
1.Microelectronic ckts...Sedra and smith.....................easy
2. Analog IC design by Behzad Razavi....difficult
3. Analog electronics Neeman

Re: Analog Design

Hi
read these books
Design of cmos analog IC - Bahzad Razavi
Analysis and Design of Analog IC - Gray & Meyer

Re: Analog Design

Analog Integrated Circuit Design (Johns & Martin)

Analog Design

Read too much book may be not good, try to design and see how do they work.

Agree!Reading too much may confuse you more,so just design and simulate it ,through several design iterations you may understand the analog design.

Analog Design

Just read one book.
read and work simulataneously
