strange error of DC2008.09 ERROR: You do not have license key

everything works fine, including analyze & elabrorate, compile, read netlist and etc, except the

gui environment. whenever i click "File" from the menu bar, the terminal in which Design vision

is invoked always displays:
ERROR: You do not have license key
ERROR: You do not have license key
ERROR: You do not have license key
ERROR: You do not have license key
ERROR: You do not have license key
So annoying! Somehow i subspect the env variables, but don't realy know what the cause is.
Does anyone happen to encounter this? How to fix it?
