Hi,

I'm using Semikron Skyper32R to drive a three phase IGBT bridge in an Inverter application.
While testing it as per **broken link removed** Page 4, Whenever the VCE threshold exceeds 5V, the Gate drive PWM duty cycle reduces to 5% of the primary side input PWM frequency.

I was expecting the gate drive to switch off completely and output steady -7V.

The schematic is same as recommended by Semikron in their Eval board circuit. Local Semikron FAE is on tour and will be available next week.

Any help from forum members would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
JayantD

Read the datasheet thoroughly.

The observed behavior is expectable if the input pulse pattern allows error reset after each DSCP trip (both inputs inactive for > 9 µs). Then the next pulse will turn on the gate output for the programmed blanking time until DSCP triggers again.

For permanent pulse disable after DSCP trigger, your controller should monitor PRIM_nERROR_OUT.
