The shredder is a machine used to “transform” branches and wood debris of any reasonable size in a scrap (do not confuse with chips) with length of about 5-6cm. Branches and wood debris after the transformation may be burned in a SAS stove (heating water and central heating).
The main element is a disc (with a diameter of about 60cm). Weight of the disc is about 40kg. 2 knife are placed in the disc.
Branches are fed into the hopper, which is a roll with “teeth” (cut springs from the suspension – hard steel flat bars).
The machine is driven from the PTO of the T25 tractor. The disc is driven by two belts with ratios of 1:1, roll pulling branches is driven by a worm gear ratio 30:1. Then there is a small reduction on the gear on belts (because the rotations were too low) and connected to the gear with a cardan roller (roll rises and lowers as described below).
Funnel is mounted on a permanent basis, while the roller pulling the branches is movable, it rises up and down and is stretched by two springs. The idea was that when the material is given to shearing (branches), the roll has to lift a little to the top.
Blades are regulated (what is seen in the pictures) and the gap between blades and the table on which are the branches, is set. The size of the scrap depends on this gap.
There is a handle above the funnel, which is used to drain the bell tension into the traction roller drive, so the wheel stops pulling. Of course there is no possibility of immediately stop the disc which weighs 40kg, so it is the only meaningful security.
Of course, everything is covered and secured, though you must be careful while using the device.
All was done with standard tools such as angle grinder, drill, all kinds of files, etc.

The device works satisfactorily and does the job, cope with thick branches.
