Hi,

I have a set of custom standard cells which have two additional pins (let's call them CP and CN). These pins allow me to change the speed & leakage of the standard cell. I characterized these cells and so I have proper .lib files. During the synthesis, I want to connect the CP & CN pins of all standard cells to a power management block. How can I do that? Should I use UPF for this? Most of the examples I found use UPF/CPF for power gating, isolation, etc. If yes, should I treat CP & CN nets like a supply pin?

Thank you.

if you want to connect to VDD/VSS, then global nets are the way to go. if they go to a management unit, then UPF is the way to go.
