I have schematic in Pdf form, now i need to capture the schematic in orcad cis ver 16,i had asked for Bom,datasheet and netlist for the same from the concerned person, but then he denied.
Is there any way to convert the pdf to schematic form or am i missing out something along on the inputs to ask...
If you mean Adobe PDF - you can't convert that to a schematic. It's just a picture of the schematic and contains no net information or component information.
If your file is a PCAD PDIF file ( they have a PDF file extension), then you can convert that to Orcad.
There's no way to convert Adobe PDF to an OrCAD CIS schematic (or any other type of EDA schematic for that matter). If all you have is a PDF, you can only re-draw it in OrCAD by hand.
The netlist can be generated after you successfully converted the schematic (or drew it).
(Above two reply already explain), however in addtion to that you just use PDIF-IN command to open the file, if it is a valid PDIF-OUT file.
As Far as BOM is concerned you have to write it manually (its been quite long to use Orcad so I do not remember now) however in Altium Designer you can generate BOM through software.
