Maybe it's the quality of the dvd media? Is it recordable media?
Try using good media such as verbatim or sony.

maybe you need to move it away from the tv

or clean the disk or clean the head

try another disk instead of hacked ones
some dvd have protections with some regions and will freeze and lock up
if you try to play them other than this try another unit so cheep now....

my dvd plyer playing other disc perfectly but this disc only has problem that sound is functioning but no video function .
but the same disc was [playing on sony panasonic .
on my dvd player other disc run perfect except this any idea u people have

Added after 3 hours 46 minutes:

i play it on sony dvd player and on lg dvd rom its okay but my samsung refuse to play it when i try to enter from menu it just stuck to root menu

Added after 2 minutes:

it has marcro vision firm ware

1- try to clean your dvd player
2- the cd may be burnet in a faster techneque .
