engineer salary in belgium

thnx.... do you have any idea whether DAAD exchange scholars get students housing or not?

auto engineering salary europe

In Portugal:

Engineers +-5 Years Experience can take 1500 euro/mounth

average salary in belgium last ten years

no wonder there are so many IC design houses in Portugal...

engineers basic salary in countries

I would check with the university...usually I'd think if it was an exchange program they'd get some kind of allowance for housing, or subsidized student housing...

Note that it's different for North America, exchange students from other countries only get their tuition covered in most cases!

what is the medium monthly salary in belgium

Senior specialist earns 500 euro/mounth in Ukraine.

salary for 5 yr experienced engineer in belgium/

I collected the info from all the postings, converted to USD per month before taxes .
Then I added a column that I think it would be useful to understand what a salary actually means in that country. The “What is a good salary”column. This is a salary that would allow one single person to own a decent car and own a decent house after 20-30 years.
(don’t ask me what is a decent car/house, depends on the country)
This I think includes the cost of living, taxes, comparison with the salary of a maid etc. When you know how your salary compares with a “good” one, you understand where you stand.
Please add your input to that column, as well to the rest of the table.
Also it would be nice to have some data from other countries.

Not only Europe, and not only Analog IC/RFIC Design Engineers

So, the best salary in Ukraine!?

Obviously there is an extra K there.
There might be other “big” mistakes like this. It wasn’t an easy task to gather all that info.
Please come with some useful feedback

the best wages in eu

In Philips(Netherlands), the salary for an entry level engineer is about 2.5K/month
but only 1.5K after tax.....

mrried or single salary in europe

To understand how one would live on that salary over there, you should also list the prices of: food, gasoline, house etc.
It is simpler if you just tell us what would be a decent-to-good salary in that country so that we can have an idea what the 2.5K (1.5K) means. A good salary, not the income of a cosmetic surgeon etc.

you need a cost of living index to figure that out.

try this page: http://www.finfacts.com/costofliving.htm

has europe and compares to to all cities in the world to get a feel for how expensive it is to live in and around major world cities and countries.

salary doesn't mean anything, it is what you can get (purchasing power) with that money that matters.

salary doesn't mean anything, it is what you can get (purchasing power) with that money that matters
Agree. However, that cost of living table did not help. Apparently is more expensive to live in Moscow, St. Petersburg Russia and Beijing China than in the US.
Thus the people reporting 300-900 dollars/month should not be alive by now.
In every country there are areas for the rich, where life is more expensive.
I was looking for one simple indicator that would immediately allow estimating the quality of living given by that salary in that country(on average).

engineer salaries in europe, 2009

that index is not magical, it lists only major cities in the world and major cities are always expensive, most companies are outside the major cities anyway where it is cheap!

it is hard to find out what you are asking, this is why i posted this message in the first place, and now 5000+ views later people have responded and given me feedback.

this is the only way i have found to find this out!

working salaries in europe

the best way is to get the cost of living in the city in which you are searching the job because in the same country living in a city instead in another one may heavly change it.
Salaries trends compared to above parameter is good to estimate what will be your living level in that city, but fist of all you must not forget the hiring ratio to check how high are your employment possibilities in that city.
So, fist check hiring ratio selecting the country with the best one, then check salaries and cost of living for the selected city where you apply for the job.

That is basically what I said (remember? – “In every country there are areas for the rich, where life is more expensive … looking for something in average”). So, then what is the use of this index for us?
I am tring to make things simpler, this just adds to the confusion.
it is hard to find out what you are asking
You don’t have to find out yourself. Each person reporting a salary surely knows how much they would need for a nice living. I know that for my country, you know that for yours –what is so difficult?
Look at some posts:
amjad on page 1
In India design engineer are paid in between 750 USD to 1000 USD which is a very good salary for indian living cost.
Now I have an idea what a salary of 1000 USD means in India (on average of course), it is definitely not the same in Denmark.
keks on page 4
It seems to me that u can afford nearly the same things with 300€ in romania as someone in germany with 3000€/month.

Of course there is a degree of subjectivity in each response but that is valid for anything here. It is only intended to give an idea.

people have responded and given me feedback
Don’t be other people’s puppet! They can post themselves.

You are talking more from the point of view of somebody who is already in that country and it is interested in specifics. From outside, when you don’t know in what city you’ll have a chance to get a job (and if) you need to have an idea of the situation in that country first and then in particular cities. After all, the engineering salaries reported in the forum were mostly for the country not per city.
the best way is to get the cost of living in the city in which you are searching the job
It makes sense if you also have the salaries for that city, because they also depend on city. So if people will take the effort to report salaries in various cities, that is fine with me – they could still define a nice salary for that city for comparison!

you must not forget the hiring ratio
Of course, but that is a whole new topic, while we still not have salary data from many countries.

what companies across europe have cut salaries

In Shanghai, China, an experienced IC engineer can get 800$/month(American Dollar after tax). If you has house, then you can live well. But it's hard to buy a
house.

starting salaries in europe

Nihao eddsos,

OK, but how much salary would you need to be able to buy a decent house in 20 –30 years (and live well in the mean time)?
What is before tax?

denmark doctors pay

i can confirm salaries are low in italy...
and the truth is that higly skilled technician and engineers use to do quite the same things...

regarding what is done in italy it is not so true that only ST microelectronics exist...

there are also other companies which are maybe not so well known to public...
i used to help in setting up one of these in south italy where financial aid from the state was given...
