Re: PIC micro

Its true and its really good to subscribe to PIC LISt mailing list, will do u a lot of good, go here to register and its better to register for the digest only, for its a very very active forum, u get around a min of 25 mails a day otherwise..
https://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist

Once u have the PIC, u can go to MICROCHIP to get the datasheet and start by familiarising urself with the resources on the chip, like IOS,FLASH,MULTIPLIERS, CLOCK_FREQ_SELECTION,CONFIG_REGSTERS.
Then if u r planning to use the HITECH C compiler, u can get the HITECH_C manual from their own site, it will describe better ways of addressing the IOS and registers in the PIC. Or else if u r planning to use the assembly language for programming, then Microchip is having a good manual i think. If u r going to use PIC_BASIC, then Microcode studio site is having some good tutorials, Or else if u r going to use Code Composer Studio, then
https://tii.developerconference.ext.ti.com/post-conf/downloads/ccs_basics_and_simuation-tutorial.pdf is a good tutorial to start.
