Hi this is an experimental regenerative detector that I am making.
The original circuit used an RF premaplifier between the antenna and the detector, which I would like to remove (to eliminate IMD products) and see how the circuit will perform.
I am aware of the antenna capacitance changing and isolation issues, but I would like to test it to see how it will perform.

I hope, that the crystal (or ceramic resonator that has been tested) will act as a resonator for the oscillator, but ALSO as an input filter, to reject strong stations from the broadcast band.

Will that be the case?

Next step is to see, if and how can I provide some passive antenna isolation, except from the low value of cap used. Any thoughts are appreciated.
