which book can be used to study the characteristics of passive networks
like transients ,what happens when the supply is turned off etc.....

I recommend you any analog simulator, that will give you a better response in conjunction with a very good theoretical book.

i would suggest that along wid valkenburg u should also read "Networks and Systems" by D. Roy Choudhury
