R-2R ladder - how do we decide the value of the resistors?

r2r ladder

In an R-2R ladder how do we decide the value of the resistors. Is it decided depending on how much power you can burn?

yes. larger R's mean lesser power. Anyway, there will be a trade-off with area and parasitics.
