I am doing hdcp. I have a question about hdcpRngCipher implementation.

1 first AN value is generated by using random number seed.
2 other AN value is generated by hdcpBlockCipher sequence and mi,ki.

I want to ask which modules can work during hdcpRngCipher? if the operation mode is same hdcpBlockCipher, why last specification said that Rekey signal may but need not be enabled? (in fact hdcp BlockCipher need 56 clocks rekey enable.)

thanks!

Re: hdcp

HI

You need to run the CM0 (block cipher without rekey enable). Here you are generating a new AN value. If rekey is enabled you are giving the LM0 output as input to BM0. So no need of REkey enable when running rngcipher.

Re: hdcp

thanks for your reply.
you means LM0 is lfsr module, BM0 is block module in hdcp cipher structure?
CM0 is block module and output function?

the right usage of hdcprngcipher :
1 let CM0 work for some clocks to produce an after power on ?

2 let CM0 work 56 clocks to porduce an after auth request ?

3 random number seed is used as b and k register value?

thanks!

Re: hdcp

Hi All...

Please let me know if there any standard HDCP chips/IP availble in market.
I want to know the IO level details of HDCP.

Please share your ideas....
