"protected" keyword support for Design Compiler??

Hi,

Please let me know whether "protected" keyword ( Defined in VHDL-2002) is supported by synthesis tools ( Design Compiler)...

`protect
`endprotect
constructs are used by modelsim compiler to protect the source code. Synthesis tools does not support this construct
