problem in erasing the PIC 18f452

i am using winpic 800 software.
and for downloading the program i was unable to erase the program.
is there settings to be changed for it

What hardware are you using?

Is your Winpic 800 configured for that particular hardware?

if the PIC18f452 is detected by WINPIC800, then you should check VPP and VDD. VPP should be about 13V and VDD should not be under 4V.

can i supply 12v for vpp and 5v for vdd

the setting seems to be OK. VPP and VDD supplied by programmer and you can not control them manually.
which programmer do you use?

i am programming using microcode studio.

Can you tell us what programmer hardware you are using? Parallel port based, serial port based? And which one, specifically. You need to configure Winpic800 to drive that particular hardware.

microcode studio is your compiler, what is your programmer hardware?
does the programmer detect PIC18F452 (specially at WINPIC800 start up)?

ok thank you to all for your help, now i was able to erase it.

my hardware is serial port and it was detected by winpic800 during start up.
