Are there any way by which one could measure the power consumed by an FPGA in real time (when it is actually deployed in a system)?

if you connect you lab power supply to your system. it usually measure the curent consumption.
so you should check the difference between the current before configuring fpga to after configuring the fpga.
it will give you rougth idea on how much power fpga add to the overall system consumption.
another way will be to measure temperature on fpga -in a way it can also tell you power consumption.
