i dont want to change the dc characteristics
 

You have to set the DC operating point correctly to ensure maximum gain. If the DC offset is too large you will move away from the point of maximum gain. Unless you are using the same models as the paper, you will not get the same results. The offset you need to use is the one specific to your circuit, not the one required by the paper.
