hello
i have microcontroller circuit which is powered by LM2576. i have to you my circuit in robust industrial environment. please me which TVS is suitable for circuit & how to calculate tvs diode

It depends on the voltage supplying the LM2576. As a rule of thumb, use the next voltage higher than the maximum that would normally be present at the regulator input. For example, if the input voltage is normally 20V, use a TVS rated for say 22V. If you need specific part numbers you will have to provide more information or even better, a schematic.

Brian.

thanks for reply n sorry too

i am planning to use TVS diode at power supply pins of optocoupler (PC814) because i have to use circuit in industrial environment at 24 volt. to avoid transients because switches or push-button/ sensors are located more then 1 meter

i am not familiar with TVS. please guide me.
