PLC problem: alarms generated are not shown on display

plc problem

I am working on a plc used for boiler management system. the problem I am facing is the system is working properly but what ever alarms generated are not shown on plc display also they are not seen in alarm history.
what may be the problem?the plc is of allen bradly make.
pl help. I also want to study PLC in detail pl. give me some study material if having
