Both MPLAB and the HiTech C Compiler support the PIC16F1527 and the device should be available in the drop down menu when using the Project Wizard. I'm assuming you've downloaded the latest versions of both and have installed them correctly. BigDog

Try upgrading the MPLAB IDE to the latest version using the second link I've provided. BigDog
