Can someone please send me a step by step manual on how to obtain the footprint for pcb starting from the schematic using ORCAD? What file to save, what test to run ( netlist, annotate, ...) and so on.

Can i draw the footprint in layout straight away without drawing the schematic in capture?

For simple designs, you can place the footprints and tracks can be drawn.

For complex design, drawing from schematic file will avoid errors.
