Re: OTG transceiver

Hi,

I think Philips USB transceiver(HS or FS) is best because power consumption is low. You can check Philips website. They developed USB series products in singapore.

good luck!

Re: OTG transceiver

So far i only know OTG version for USB 1.1. Is the OTG for 2.0 out?
The one we are going to use is cypress.

Re: OTG transceiver

Hi,

As far as USB transiver is concerned, Philips USB transciver is the best. There are a wide range family of USB transcivers: 1.0, 2.0, OTG UTMI interface. But, if you are only interested with USB device or USB host ICs, Cpress is the best choice. They are easy to use for many kinds of application.

It's only personal opinion. Just for reference.

Re: OTG transceiver

I don't think there is any difference between USB 2.0 UTMI transceiver and OTG 2.0 transceiver. The differences are mainly in the link layer of these standards not the transceivers. The same is true for USB 1.1.

Re: OTG transceiver

(to last response). actually there are differences at the transceiver level
besides the ones at the link layer. companies also cheat and clain to be
usb2.0 compliant even though they don't support the 480Mb speed.

this is what i know, please correct if wrong :

- a few companies have or are about to have usb2.0 otg at 12Mb speed
(cypress,philips,micrel,others)

- none realy has or is about to have a usb2.0 otg transceiver at 480Mb speed
