specification making the development and deployment of extremely power efficient, cost effective,
low data rate monitoring, control and sensing networks a reality. This on-time delivery of the
specification is the culmination of two years of worldwide development and interoperability testing
by the more than 100 member companies within the ZigBee Alliance.

As I know Microchip's ZigBee solution should not ready now.

I don't think so. They provide only ZigBee protocol stack and you can already download some AN from Microchip site with examples. As to ZigBee hardware, they use Chipcon RF transceiver. So, I don't see any reason for delay.

Hi,

The Zigbee wireless standard was formally released recently (Zigbee 1.0).
It should be interesting to see how this technology 'takes off' .... or 'drops out'.
I read a benchmarking of the (not yet released) Zigbee compliant silicon system-on-chip devices --> Pretty interesting :)
