Hi everyone,

I have a network connectivity problem that
need advise and view on.

I have a computer and an ethernet IO device connected to the network.
Typically the computer will send data periodically to activate the IO device.

After some time, the computer thinking that the connection is still up,
continue to send the data.
The IO device is still functioning
but no longer response to the computer's command.
The problem will occur within a day.

If the software on the computer reset the connectivity,
the whole setup can then function as normal again.
Another solution is to do a hardware reset
reset on the IO device, which will also trigger the computer
to re-establish the communication connection.

The problem is that the computer thinks that
the connection is still up although the ethernet IO device is no longer reachable This restrict the computer to reset it's connection automatically,
because it is not aware of it's status.

Is this type of issue a problem due to
heavy traffic in the network.?
I am thinking the state of the communication could be lost,
resulting in this behavior.

What do you think on this?
What other possibility, will result in the situation I am encountering?

Thank you so much for your advise.
