i got an inverter circuit... my problem is... can i use a step down transformer (230vac -> 12vac) to run the inverter... mean... i just rotate the connection to be a stepup transformer...mean my primary winding will be (12 0 12) and the secondary would be (0 115 230)... please help me figure it out.... i'm leak of knowladge... hahah....

A current inverter can provide sin wave in 220V, so do not need a transformer.
Please check the inverter's output at first.

Yes you can use a step-down transformer as a step up also. You will have to be cautious about the power rating of the transformer though.

If you wnt to wnd your own transformer, here is an excellent web site : https://www.ludens.cl/Electron/Electron.html

A very nice tutorial

Thanks mate
