Hello, long story, but I basically have a driver: dol_cctv.dll for a device.. but don't have a setup.ini or whatever XP looks for to install the driver. So I need to write one. How hard, or impossible with out knowing more about this hardware?

Sorry for possibly offtopic post, but I figure people here know about setup files for XP since they get their homebrews to work with XP (as I have done much earlier, but have forgotten)

thanks!

hmm.. interesting.. possibly the only .ini example that wouldn't work :/ hah.. thanks for the info though! I should of been more specific..

I need help on writing an .ini file that add/remove hardware will utilize to install drivers.

ideas?

As I understand You need to write .INF (not .INI) file to add/remove driver. I don't know the possible this or not, but some info You can find in 'Programming the Microsoft Windows Driver Model' by W. Oney in Ch. 15.

Regards,
Kit
