hi, i hope someone can help me with this problem. i have simulate the circuit and get the result like below:

**** MOSFET SQUARED NOISE VOLTAGES (SQ V/HZ)

M_M1 M_M2

RD 5.237E-29 3.702E-28

RS 4.863E-30 9.763E-25

RG 3.657E-30 8.252E-21

RB 0.000E+00 0.000E+00

ID 0.000E+00 1.045E-18

FN 0.000E+00 0.000E+00

TOTAL 6.089E-29 1.053E-18

1) what is the meaning of FN? is it flicker noise or something else?
2) do ID value represent the INOISE or ONOISE?

really hope somebody can help me.thank you:D

In the HSpice manual, FN is "output flicker noise" and ID is "output thermal noise due to channel". The RD etc are due to drain resistance etc. Total is the sum of them all (straight arithmetic sum because they are all in volts squared per Hertz).

Keith.

I don't have Pspice but most of the simulation core is the same for all varieties of Spice, so I would expect so.

By the way, the information 'should' be in the manuals, but may not be easy to find. In pdf versions search for FN - it isn't a term that will appear in normal words.
