Need help for 3 bit binary shift register

Hi friends this book is given in my book but i am unable tosolve it
can anybody help me for this

I would start with three DFFs, one for each shift register bit, and connect a multiplexer to each data input. Try what you can achieve with it.
 

Here is a four-bit version what you are looking for **broken link removed**. Just take out one of the flipflops and one 2-to-1 mux, and you'll be done. You can simulate your own and replace the mux schematics with a single mux icon each. The simulator is here: **broken link removed**.
