Hi all,

There is one good news of ALDEC , recently NASA USA has purchased Expert Edition of Active HDL... this is the highest edition of Active HDL ....
along with they have taken Riviera also for there use ( ASIC verification software)
from ALdec.

Remember earlier only Mentor tools are famous in Industries but now Highest edition of ALDEC is also getting used in the industry.
there are the cases where ActiveHDL expert edition is also rocking... with its recently added new features... and simulation capability.

With Regards,

Could you share your experiences about ALDEC and its benefits over Cadence and Mentor tools.

What makes Industries to adopt or switch to ALDEC.
Any sepecific advantage.

see synposys and cadance is mainly used by ASIC development users
mentor and ALDEC are used by FPGA programmers
ALDEC GUI is simple and simulation speed is faster
price wise also its cheaper then other tools ....
and we cannot float comparasion over website usually ..... better to see respective website ..

Added after 1 minutes:

It follows IEEE coding standards as cadance and prefered majorly in defence labs because its easy to use approach ....

can u gimme any link related to this
thanks

In my opinion, compared to ModelSim, Aldec is x1000 easier to use.

Now, because NASA buys something doesn't mean it's suddenly great. NASA has many departments. Could be their education service that needed to make an FPGA board for the annual picnic.
