Hi,

I am confused for the MOV design and selection.

For MOV clamping I think the source resistance is important.
Now I am designing for Auto-mobile battery based product. Here the source resistance is very small. However the load dump transient is high frequency so I though I can place the MOV after the Common modechoke but I am afraid that it might delay the switching time of the MOV as inductance is introduced.

In Battery based application where we should place the mov?

presently I am using S14K14 EPCOS MOV.

Dear friend!
Hi
