Is there some kind of rule that needs to be followed for approval?
On what basis are the blogs approved? What can be the possible reasons (if at all) for blogs not being approved?

There is a serious rate of spam associated with blog entries, therefore all blog entries require approval.

Currently, the forum software does not provide any means to notify the moderators that a blog entry is awaiting moderator approval, therefore if you post or edit an existing blog entry please send a request that it be approved to two or more moderators.
