Hi,
I used MAX3232 with non polar 100nF capacitor but the current it consuming is 10mA+ which is much much higher than its data sheet 1mA.
Any idea why?
thanks

Keep in mind that this IC can deliver up to 50-60mA (shortcircuit) to a load ..
Try to disconnect all outputs and measure it's current consumption again ..

Hi
thanks
but this I already done... problem remains same.
thanks

Yes no load connnected only 4 capacitors 100nf linked as per datasheet. Without these capacitors current lower than 1mA.

My Max202 takes about 4mA for 25% of loads the voltage also drops from -10V to about -8 volts, I think it is normal.

Yes with load ok but without load..........
Can you check it without load if u can.
thanks
