Hi all,

I want to interface RF module with low power MCU. For this project, size is the main constraint. Both MCU & RF module has to be no more than few milli-meters as it is to be designed for wearable device. I found QFN packages of MSP430 and PIC16 for MCU but haven't came across any tiny RF Module (with antenna) except Bluetooth Low Energy. Can anyone suggest small size RF module other than BLE?

Is there any module having PCB printed micro-strip antenna that I can use?

The reason I am not going for BLE is that software part of the project (which I am not working on) has moved way ahead before I was handed over this project and now we can't go for BLE.

Thanks in advance.

Software is written but your MCU and Comms not yet identified ? Thats a pity.
Otherwise the RFduino would have been a good candidate.

Hi Kripacharya,
Sorry for not detailing my question. What I meant by Software written is that the device software which is going to communicate with my MCU which is not using BLE. My MCU software is still to be written. Thanks for suggestion. I think RFduino works for me.
