in my opinon, esd circuit look like very simple in IC, but how to layout it and make it effective is difficlut. foundry's suport is very important

Generally there would be inbuilt ESD protection ckts in the foundry in which u would be fabricating ur design.U can get some ESD protection guide in ur fab's documents.Check for that.

The ESD Technology which is sent by mosis is not in english language. I am not able to understand the language, Please send me those documents to studyshiva@yahoo.co.in if you have it in english language too.

For beginners esd and io design book by sanjay dabral and timothy maloney is very good. it is available in the upload and download sectio.

besides adding those ESD protection circuits. For those transistors which directly connected to IO pad, you better use drain extended transistors.

i saw the book of ESD in Silicon Integrated circuits, it is a good book, but in practise, we do not use it directly
