I would recommend ESD for Integrated Circuits by Wang
Basic ESD and I/O design by Sanjay Dabral and Timothy Malooney

These are excellent books with detailed understanding of ESD design and devices. Other than these you may have to read several application notes from foundries who use a particular methodology to get a deeper perspective how the ESD protection actually works in the entire chip.
