Logic Analyzer Lab Experiment needed !

Hello

My department have recently bought "Agilent Logic Analyzer 16801A"

And I want a simple expirament to give to the students demonstrating its basic features

if any can assist me I would be grateful

one possibility is to show them that you can view many channels at a time.(in waveform or hex etc).

Tektronix used to give an experimenter board for learning LA. i dont know about what agilent gave with the LA.

even if one is not given , set up an 8bit counter with standard digital ICs in a breadboard. connect cloct , outputs(8bits) and rest signals to LA.
by this way , they can see the transitions at the same time.

agilent would have given users manual and basics manuals. it may have some experiment to learn.

above all, one should familiarise with the probes and triggering facilities and how to setup LAs. then only the full power of LAs can be felt.
